Fabian Bork created RAW PIANO as part of the course Sound Programming. Its functional, aesthetically pleasing interface is reduced to an absolute minimum, while the sound is excellent, with a unique character.
During the conceptual phase, Fabian realised that the design and workflow of a digital instrument are paramount in deciding whether he uses an instrument or not.
- A well thought out workflow speeds up the production process
- A good design must have an appealing and timely aesthetic
- A good product focuses on workflow and design in equal measures
Fabian recorded the in-house grand piano of the hdpk for the sample content and used the Kontakt Scripting Engine to create the instrument, including its GUI.
